King Leopold III and Queen Astrid of Belgium. The king was well loved by the people of Belgium. Prior and during the Second World War was actively involved with his troops. However, during the war he got himself into trouble by compromising with the enemy, resulting his being forced by the Nazis to give in and compromise his principles.
