(JA-39) Emperor and Empress

Here we see His Imperial Majesty Emperor Hirohito and Empress of Japan in the 1930's. The royals of Japan were treated by the Japanese people like a demi-god. Their Majesties rarely ever appeared in public and when they did, the entire crowd of subjects had to bow very low in reverence and adulation. They rarely ever smiled for photos and appeared very stoic. They were treated with the highest of honor and respect.
