King Juan Carlos Alfonso Víctor María de Borbón y Borbón-Dos Sicilias, born 5 January 1938) as a member of the Spanish royal family who reigned as King of Spain from November 1975 until his abdication in June 2014. King Juan Carlos was succeeded by his son, Prince Filipe as seen here standing behind his father. His Majesty King Juan Carlos appears to have led a very stable and resourceful monarchy during this time thus making the way for his son, King Filipe less dramatic.
