This lovely photograph of Lady Elizabeth Angela Margaret Bowes-Lyon who was the wife of King George VI and the mother of our present Queen Elizabeth II. This lovely lady was the ideal person to become the Queen Consort. She certainly stood by her husband in all circumstances both as a wife, mother and a queen. She was born August 4, 1900 in Scotland. The king, who was then Prince Albert, proposed to her 3 times before she accepted his proposal in marriage. She was the second youngest child in a family of 14 children.
