E-165 In Mourning for Edward VIII

This was the mourning procession for the burial of the late King Edward VIII now Duke of Windsor. In the procession are the Queen, the widow of the Duke of Windsor, Wallis Simpson and then followed by the Elizabeth the Queen Mother. As one can see this was a somber moment, but more than that, HM the Queen had no love lost for her uncle the Duke of Windsor and no more so for the widow. Wallis Simpson and the Queen Mum were not on speaking terms, either. Wallis Simpson had been a ruthless tyrant member of the British royals during all this time of her marriage to Edward. It was said, that Wallis nearly caused the destruction of the British Royal Family by being an underhanded and deviant person in luring Edward away from the throne and then causing a great deal of bitterness and confusion among the royal family members.
