Uniformity and conformity was stressed in the Imperial Family under the old regime of Emperor Hirohito. There appeared to be very little room for individuality and a release of personal expression of freedom and character and personality. Everyone usually appears to be under strict guidelines of conduct and response to behavior. That is okay, too.
