(R-11) Czar Nickolas's Coronation

Here Czar Nickolas II wearing his robes of state at his coronation in 1896. Nickolas was a gentle person. His eyes show compassion and kindness. He was a tender-hearted man, who loved people. He was never able to demonstrate that quality of his character in his kingship, as much of his life was dominated by other people. He was quite unlike his father, Alexander III, who ruled with an iron fist.
